Side by side comparison
Use this tool to view and highlight differences between two different map views of the same location. For example, you can view satellite images from two different dates to see how things have changed over time. Or compare Dynamic World data to a satellite image, view spectral indices, etc..
To use the Compare tool:
- Using the tools on the left side of the map, set up your first map view, with any alerts, satellite images, annotation, etc., you want.
- Click Compare > Set left map.
- Using the tools on the left side of the map, set up your second map.
- Click Compare > Set right map.
- Select a compare style. You will see options for three types:
– Slider. The second map is overlaid on the first and you can compare by moving the handle back and forth.
– Stack Vertically. The first map is on top and the second map below it.
– Stack Horizontally. The first map is on the left and the second map on the right.
To exit Compare mode, click the X next to the comparison type you selected.
To completely clear the map, refresh your browser.
