You can choose from several different basemaps to explore an area in SkyTruth Monitor:

• Light map. The default Google Maps view with a light grey theme applied.
• Dark map. The default Google Maps view with a dark grey theme applied.
• Satellite. Shows Google Maps satellite view.
• Hybrid. Shows Google Maps satellite view along with place names and local businesses.
• Terrain. Shows the local terrain as well as the default Google Maps view.
• Roadmap. Default Google Maps view.

Show Map Inset

You can opt to show a map inset in the top right corner of the SkyTruth Monitor map. This can be useful to provide context, especially if you are planning to share your map with others.
