This blog post describes how SkyTruth interns adapted previous SkyTruth work on oil and gas drilling sites to detecting roads.
With SkyTruth data, watershed managers can track vegetation trends through time. And with our soon to be released Issue Map, they can explore how those trends vary spatially across a watershed.
During an all-staff meeting in February, Cameron listened to SkyTruth’s Technical Program Director Ry Covington present his work on mapping vegetation in the Colorado River Basin. He knew he wanted to be involved. So he reached out to Ry and asked if he could help build the visualization dashboard for this data.
